2000's
- 2005 South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources, Inc. celebrates its 25th anniversary
- 2003 Launched Intensive Residential Program at the Spencer and Berlin Houses
- 2002 Awarded funding for a Supportive Housing component of residential services
- 2000 Awarded additional adult residential program from the N.J. Division of Mental Health Services.As a result, acquired
three group homes.
1990's
- 1999 Added a Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program. Also moved the Stratford Outpatient Program to larger offices
- 1998 Applied for license as a substance abuse service provider. Launched the PACE program
- 1996 Changed agency name to South Jersey Behavioral Health Resources, Inc. Also purchased a building in Magnolia, N.J.,for the adult
partial care program
- 1995 Completed construction of the Charles E. Brimm Community Homes, an independent living apartment complex for the mentally ill.
- 1990 Added a MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abuser) component to the partial care program.
1980's
- 1989 Opened the COSTAR Program, a drop-in center for the homeless mentally ill. Also opened the Parkview Apartments, which
are supervised apartments for the mentally ill.
- 1985 Expanded outpatient, partial care and residential services to serve all of Camden County, N.J.
- 1984 Incorporated as CAMcare Community Mental Health Center, Inc.
- 1984 Opened a group home in Camden City, N.J., for the deaf and hard-of-hearing mentally ill
- 1983 Opened the agency's first group home in Camden City, N.J.
- 1980 Opened as a department of CAMcare Health Corporation, a federally funded community health program.
